Engineering Approach
The platform is built on our patented BioOptimization CycleTM. It is a revolutionary data- and insight-driven cell factory engineering platform that ensures quick and effective scale-up from lab to manufacturing.
At Manus, we have a collection of “universal chassis” which have been engineered for high-yield and scalable production of the common building blocks to more than 150,000 complex molecules. Leveraging a wealth of digital biological data built over the last two decades, we discover and introduce novel enzymes and pathways to transform these chassis into cell factories for diverse products.
These cell factories are engineered for commercial-ready and scaled performance using our iterative BioOptimization Cycle combining metabolic engineering (product flux enhancement), enzyme engineering (biocatalyst development), and systems biology (quantitative cellular characterization) to quickly develop novel bioalternatives cell factories.
Our fully vertical capabilities allow us to characterize process performance all the way to finished product across all scales from bench to pilot to large-scale manufacturing throughout the development process to ensure high efficiencies and translatability.
